We recommend using the additional guide ring if the line or rope leaving the spool runs more than 15 degrees to the side. This prevents the spool’s guide ring or core wires from twisting under strong lateral pull. Especially in connection with landing, difficult situations leading to spool damage can sometimes occur.

There are two types of additional guide rings – the vertical and horizontal pipe models. Installation to a level surface is also possible, by removing the loose clamp half and screwing the integral clamp half to the surface through the holes. Remember to use a durable back plate!
